Data Into Action

2024 represents the year of developing a data-driven, actionable climate plan, and the start of our journey to maximize our positive impact. Every aspect of the business—our operations, our suppliers & partners, design & procurement process, packaging, logistics, and installation—will be evaluated to guide and optimize our path to reduce carbon, responsibly source materials, increase product circularity, and promote the health & wellness of people. We are on a data-gathering mission about our business to understand how we can drive meaningful action resulting in quantifiable change.

Carbon Reduction

Nearly every aspect of our lives continues to be altered and is affected by the negative impact of global warming. The urgent call to action is clear - reduce carbon emissions. After measuring our baseline emissions, we’ll set science-based reduction targets aligned with global frameworks like the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to reduce our operational carbon and work with our supplier partners to lower our emissions across our value chain.

Circular Design, Circular Economy

Through innovation and creativity, we will be exploring how we can increase product circularity and encourage our customers to embrace and support a circular economy. With an estimated 12 million tons of furniture waste going to landfills in the US alone, we are committed to bringing solutions to this waste problem.

Responsible Sourcing

Through a variety of certification processes demonstrating alignment with globally accepted standards, we will ensure that all materials are ethically and sustainably sourced and purchased, while minimizing environmental footprints and supporting fair labor practices throughout our supply chain.

Supplier Engagement & Development Programs

We recognize it will be an ongoing collaborative effort with our supplier partners to drive progress and improvements in sustainable manufacturing practices through renewable energy, resource conservation, waste reduction strategies and the avoidance of toxic chemicals of high concern. Through independent, third-party audits, we will identify areas of improvements in their processes to make positive changes year over year.

Procurement & Logistics

By optimizing packaging strategies, streamlining supply chain logistics and improving transportation efficiencies, we can make significant strides in reducing our environmental footprint and advancing our sustainability goals. We consider these sustainable business practices that ultimately positively affect the bottom line to also be strategic business advantages.

Circular by Design,
Impactful by Choice

Over 80% of a product’s lifecycle costs and environmental impact are determined at the design stage. By rethinking how we design and manufacture furniture with the goal of closing the loop, we can move away from the traditional outcome where furniture becomes landfill waste.

We envision a circular future where furniture and its components are reused, repurposed, and renewed—transforming the traditional linear model into a regenerative one. Guided by our commitment to circular solutions and in accordance with internationally accepted ISO standards defining the circular framework, we’re investing in R&D to design furniture that maximizes recyclability, reuse, and remanufacturing potential. In collaboration with innovative, visionary partners, we are in the early stages of pioneering a circular hotel guestroom prototype in a renovation scenario and look forward to presenting the results upon completion.
